Fatigue strength assessment of cut edges considering material strength and cutting quality

چکیده

In the present study, statistical analysis for previously reported cut edge fatigue test results is performed. Experimental tests are conducted machined, plasma, and fiber laser-cut S960 edges to verify effect of yield strength quality, study cutting method on performance. were complemented with hardness residual stress measurements metallurgical analyses electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) characterize properties findings. The show that can be divided into high- low-quality categories. On basis these categories, material strength, applied methods, FAT classes recommended design practices proposed.
